Adding a Verticut machine to your processing equipment provides the ideal solution for clean cuts, precision positioning and speed in a packaging cut off saw that is very user-friendly.
At L-M Equipment Company, Inc., we offer different options in the Verticut machine, with a basic system in the Verticut 2000 offering a range of automation and options that are ideal for any package processing requirements. Automated controls are one feature many lumber mills require and make this equipment ideal for easy, user-friendly operation. With automated controls there is much less risk of any human error, reducing waste and improving the consistency of the cuts for an even surface finish on the cut ends.
Cutting with Accuracy
With the Verticut machine, it is possible to opt for a laser light saw line guide. This is an easy, visual way to set up the system for precision cutting with each package. The bump even ending system is also ideal for increased efficiency, moving the package down the carriage with even pressure.
We have designed the Verticut machine with a special bar, which is shorter and stiffer for less deviation from the cut line. This allows our system to consistently cut to tolerances of plus or minus 0.040 of an inch. Combined with the 3/8th of an inch for the chainsaw’s kerf, there is very limited waste and much higher efficiency in lumber recovery.
Each package is measured electronically, and the operator sees a digital readout. The standard machine will cut both sixteen foot and twenty-foot lumber packages. A strapping station, as well as infeed and outfeed staging decks, add to the efficiency of the machine.
